Loughborough University named most popular first choice destination for students

Loughborough University has been named the most popular first choice destination for students who are looking to attend university in 2016. Over 8,000 undergraduate students submitted their top five choices when submitting an application through UCAS, with students selecting a 'firm' and an 'insurance' place.
Using Whatuni.com’s Final 5 tool, Loughborough beat off competition from Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham and Surrey. Loughborough University campus is the UK’s largest single site green campus and is generally regarded as the best in the country for sporting facilities and excellence, having been named the Sports University of the Year in the Times and Sunday Times University Guide 2014.
Emma Leech of Loughborough University said: "This has been a brilliant year for Loughborough. We’ve seen our league table positions climb and a number of awards that we have won this year have helped put us in the spotlight.”
