Cardiff Metropolitan University has been recognised for its excellence in research after winning a Queen's Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education at a ceremony at St James' Palace in London.
Cardiff Metropolitan University received one of 21 prizes which are within the UK's national honours system and are one of the UK's highest accolades open to a UK academic or vocational institution. Pioneering work has enabled the rapid production of devices for use in surgical procedures. This has produced direct benefit in the making of prosthetics for individual patients and major advances in surgical training through improved accuracy in the use of simulation on surgery training and other educational applications.
University President & Vice-Chancellor Professor Antony Chapman said: "The team at PDR continues to garner international recognition for the level of expertise and research established here. The team's interdisciplinary research is consistently pioneering and is making a real difference to the lives of service users and fellow clinical leaders. It is a great honour to receive this award."

My counsellor contacted me every day throughout the application process and helped me receive an unconditional offer. I am so grateful to SI-UK and will never forget them. I will study very hard as I feel this is the best reward I can give the whole team.
