The John J Sweeney Scholarship at Ulster University’s International Conflict Research Institute (INCORE) is now open for applications.

The John J Sweeney Scholarship supports students enrolled to study full-time on the MSc in Applied Peace and Conflict Studies, based on the Jordanstown campus (Belfast).

The deadline for applications is Thursday, the 3rd of August 2018, midnight (GMT).  This is the third year of this scholarship which is supported by the AFL-CIO.

The Scholarship is open to all US citizens who:

  • Have been offered a full-time place on the MSc in Applied Peace and Conflict Studies and have made a firm commitment to Ulster University during the admissions phase

AND

  • Are a US union member; or
  • Have a familial connection to a US union member (mother, father, sibling, aunt, uncle, grandparent); or
  • Can provide a reference letter from a union sponsor.

The Scholarship will be used in support of full fees and some living expenses.
