Loughborough tops recent Teaching Excellence Framework mock rankings
30 June 2016
Loughborough University continued its fantastic 2017 by finishing top of the mock Teaching Excellence Framework rankings in Times Higher Education.
The rankings, which are in the pilot stage and will not be published proper until 2018-19, saw smaller campus universities excel over larger Russell Group institutions. Universities completing the top five included Aston, De Montfort, Swansea and Kent, with Cambridge, the highest ranked university in the UK, 12th.
Times Higher Education’s analysis is based on the three metrics that will be at the heart of the Teaching Excellence Framework: retention, student satisfaction and graduate employment. The ranking will be piloted for the following two years before the first official ranking in 2018-19.
